How AI girlfriend roleplay scenarios work

A scenario has three parts on Swipey: a location, a premise and a memory of what has happened so far. You choose the first two; the third builds itself as you play.

1. Pick or write one. Create AI ends with location and scenario steps (added to the builder summary in late August 2026), so a new character starts inside a scene. Later, Edit My AI lets you swap the scenario or write a custom one; custom scenarios shipped there on 27 August 2026. Swipey's catalogue has 100+ to choose from, covering romance, fantasy, office dynamics and more.
2. Play it. Type dialogue as dialogue and actions between asterisks, like *pours two coffees*. Since 18 August 2026 the asterisk text is highlighted in chat, which makes long scenes easier to read. She answers in character, and her personality mix (flirty, shy, dominant, intellectual, nurturing) colours how she plays it.
3. Come back. Persistent plot memory keeps the story's place across sessions and devices. Close the app at the hotel check-in and you reopen at the hotel check-in. The wider memory system, with Memory cards and a Memory Details view since 27 August 2026, holds the details she has learned about you alongside the plot.

Scenarios also feed the images and video. Ask for a selfie mid-scene and the character-consistent image shows the location you are in; ask for a video scene and the clip follows the plot. Since 20 August 2026 the builder also includes a kink selection step with tiered progression, which shapes where a scenario can go as the relationship levels up.

What is free

Swipey's own wording is "free for text roleplay". Creating a character with a scenario and chatting with Platform Models costs nothing. A good scenario prompt states where you are, what is happening and one detail she can build on. "Snowed-in cabin, the power just went out, you found candles" gives her more than "cabin". Pair the scene with the right character: a goth Platform Model at the vintage record shop reads differently from a nurturing Custom AI at the farmers' market, and both work.

Scenarios, levels and memory

A scenario is not static across the relationship. Progression runs through ten levels, from Stranger and Acquaintance through Chat-buddy, Friend and Best friend and beyond, and each level opens new sides of her personality along with a reward drop. The same "morning coffee in bed" prompt plays differently at level two and level nine because she knows you better and the relationship has moved. That is the point of pairing plot memory with levels: the scene has a past.

The Memory Details view, shipped 27 August 2026, shows what she has kept from your chats, which is useful when a scenario has run for weeks and you want to check what she remembers about the road trip. Voice calls, a Premium feature, can happen inside a scenario too, and the Memory card that follows each call records the duration, the levelling progress and a transcript, so a call made mid-story becomes part of the story.

Scenarios with more than one character

Group Chat shipped on 27 August 2026. It puts two or three characters, including your own Custom AI, in one thread, with a location and scenario picker for the scene and photo and video generation of the group. Two other places on Swipey turn scenarios into something you watch rather than write. Short Drama serves episodic short-video stories on creator profiles, with the next episode behind Premium.
