You ask the way you would ask a person. Type "send me a photo from the balcony" or "show me what you're wearing tonight" and she generates an image that fits the moment. Scenario, outfit and mood follow the conversation, so a selfie requested during a rainy-day café scene looks like a rainy-day café.

Chat also has quick actions. "Show me scene" buttons request a picture of the current setting with one tap, and since 20 August 2026 a placeholder frame appears in the thread the instant you ask, so you can see where the image will land while it renders.

The first image usually arrives before you ask. Characters send a welcome photo or video when a chat opens, and for new users the first photo is on the house. After that, image generation follows the free and Premium limits described below.

Why consistency matters more than resolution

The common complaint about companion-app photos is that the picture looks fine but shows a different woman each time. Swipey's images are character-consistent, which it describes as the same face, the same body, every render. Her eyes, her jawline and the details you have stopped noticing stay put from one image to the next, and they carry into video scenes up to 60 seconds as well.

This is what turns a folder of renders into an album of one person. It also makes relationship progression feel earned. Each of the ten relationship levels opens a reward drop, a 3-card opening with Teasing, Intimate and Full Show tiers, and because the content is consistent, the character in the level-ten drop is visibly the one you met at level one. Swipey describes the realistic output as photoreal with natural lighting and expressions; anime output is illustrated with the same consistency. Consistency also lets the images do work in the story. A roleplay scenario with plot memory can pick up where it left off, and the selfie she sends at the airport reunion shows the same woman who left three chats ago.

Selfies, levels and the Memory card

Images are tied to the relationship as much as to the request. The relationship runs through ten levels, starting at Stranger and moving through Acquaintance, Chat-buddy, Friend and Best friend, and each level-up opens a reward drop: three cards labelled Teasing, Intimate and Full Show, one of which you pick. Content tiers in chat follow the same logic, from Tease through Spicy to Uncensored, so what she sends grows with the relationship rather than arriving all at once.

Voice calls add images of their own. After a call, Premium members see a Memory card in the chat with the call's duration, levelling progress, content thumbnails and a transcript, so the pictures that came out of a conversation stay attached to it. Memory cards and the Memory Details view shipped on 27 August 2026 and let you see what she has kept from your chats.

The realistic and anime styles handle selfies differently on the surface and identically underneath. A realistic character's photo looks like something taken on a phone; an anime character's looks like a frame from a show. In both cases the face and body match the previous image, and in both cases the request flow is the same sentence typed into chat.

Editing a selfie in chat

Since 1 September 2026, every image in a Swipey chat carries a small pencil. Tap it, describe the change ("make it golden hour", "red dress instead", "move this to the beach"), and an edited version arrives that keeps her consistent. Lighting, outfit, background and expression are the edits that work best. Edits count as image generations, so they follow the same limits as new requests.
