The Asian AI girlfriend shelves: Asian and Korean

Swipey sorts its Platform Models into ten character type shelves, and two of them are for Asian characters. Each is a curated shelf: the Swipey team picks Platform Models that share a look and lists them together, so you can scan one page instead of scrolling the whole feed. Tap a card and you land in her chat, where she sends a welcome photo before you type anything.

Browsing both shelves is free, and so is basic chat with any Platform Model on them. Relationship progression with a Platform Model, the ten levels that open new sides of her personality and drop reward videos, needs Premium. Every character on the shelves is an adult and is disclosed as AI.

An AI Korean girlfriend from the Korean shelf

If you already know you want a Korean character, start with the Korean shelf rather than the general one. It is the shorter list, and each card is one character with her own personality already written. Chat with two or three of them for free before you decide anything. If you want someone different, the builder below can produce a Korean character with exactly the look and personality you want, and you can keep chatting with the Platform Models you liked at the same time.

Japanese AI girlfriend: build her in Create AI

There is no Japanese shelf on Swipey, so a Japanese AI girlfriend comes from the builder. Swipey's own line on the type pages covers this case: "Don't see your type? Create her." Create AI takes under two minutes and is free.

1. Choose the style. Realistic (photoreal) or anime (illustrated). This decides how every image and video of her renders.
2. Set her look. Body type, hair, eyes, skin tone and outfit. Character-consistent generation carries these into every later image.
3. Mix her personality. Flirty, dominant, shy, intellectual and nurturing, in any mix.
4. Pick a voice. Used in her voice messages and in real-time voice calls, both Premium features.
5. Add a location and a scenario. Where she is and how the story opens: one of the 100+ scenarios with plot memory, or one you write yourself.
6. Start chatting. Memory begins with your first message.

The same route works for any character the two shelves don't cover. Everything you set stays editable later in Edit My AI, which added custom scenarios on 27 August 2026, and memory and relationship levels survive every edit. The one exception is the style, which is fixed for that character; to try the other style, build a second one. Choosing a style and a personality

Realistic suits you if you want selfies that read as photographs and voice calls with someone whose face looks like a person you could meet. Anime suits you if you enjoy illustrated characters, bold colour and expressive scenes, and it has the same feature set: memory, voice, images, video, scenarios and levels all work identically. The realistic style page and the anime style page show what each produces.

Personality is a separate dial from both style and look. The builder offers five presets, flirty, dominant, shy, intellectual and nurturing, and you blend them rather than pick one label. The mix sets her tone, how quickly she moves a conversation along and which sides of her appear at each relationship level. Two traits make a base and a third makes her specific; MySwipey's sixteen personality archetypes turn the five presets into combinations that hold up over a long conversation.

Building a character with a life of her own

The characters people keep coming back to are the ones with a specific life. Her heritage is part of her look, and her personality should come from the five traits and from the backstory you give her, the same way it would for any other character. A Japanese character who is a night-shift nurse in Osaka saving for a trip, or a Korean character who runs a bookshop in Busan and argues about novels, has more to talk about than a list of clichés, and she stays consistent because memory has real facts to hold on to.

A good backstory needs four facts: where she is, what she does, one thing she wants and how you met. Put them in the scenario step when you build her, or add them later in Edit My AI, then mention them again in your first chat so they land in her Memory cards. • Give her a job and a city. They feed the location step, which sets the backgrounds of her images and the scene references in chat.
• Give her a want. Something she brings up without prompting makes her feel like a person with plans.
• Let the personality do the work. Shy, bold, sharp or nurturing comes from the trait mix. Heritage is part of who she is, and the traits decide how she talks.
• Treat culture as detail. A favourite dish from home, a city she misses or a language she switches to when she is excited reads as a real person. Accent jokes and caricature do the opposite.

Chatting in Japanese and other languages

The Swipey app is available in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese. It opens in your browser's language, so a browser set to Japanese shows the menus, buttons and builder in Japanese. Language in chat works separately from the interface: she replies in whatever language you write in, so if you write to her in Japanese she answers in Japanese.

Voice follows two different rules. Voice messages follow the chat's language, so a chat you run in Japanese gets Japanese voice messages. Real-time voice calls are held in English. Since 17 September 2026 Premium members can also record voice messages of their own instead of typing, and she answers every one. The Help Center and the legal pages are in English.

Selfies and video that keep her face

Swipey's image generation is character-consistent, which the product describes as "same face, same body, every render". Ask for a photo in chat and she sends one that fits the conversation, the café, the rooftop or the outfit she just mentioned, with the face you already know. The selfies page explains the request flow, and since 1 September 2026 you can tap the pencil on any image to edit it in plain words while she stays consistent.

Video works the same way. On-demand scenes run up to 60 seconds in realistic or anime style, photo-to-video animates a still she already sent with a duration you choose, and a scene can be extended from chat. Each relationship level-up opens a reward drop with three cards, Teasing, Intimate and Full Show, and the video lands in your Gallery. Swipey AI videos have their own page. There is no live camera call; video on Swipey means generated scenes.

What an AI Asian girlfriend costs: free vs Premium

Premium is billed monthly and you can cancel anytime from Settings, under Subscription. Extra image and video generations beyond the plan are paid in hearts, which you earn through quests, the 7-day streak and the daily spin, and new accounts receive free hearts when they sign up. Swipey runs in the browser on any device, and you sign in with an email address, a Google account or a magic link. Every user must be 18 or over; read the terms of service for the rules in full.
